We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Manager – Inbound Logistics in Supply Chain Management within Finance function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager (SCM) – Logistics & Distribution, the holder will be Managing the company’s inbound logistics processes by ensuring timely delivery of material from the company’s suppliers to the company designated storage points in order to meet company requirements through efficient and effective processes, metrics and monitoring tools.

Job Responsibilities

  •  Optimize and Improve operational efficiency by optimally managing the inbound logistics process improvement in the logistics chain
  • Manage the documentation involved in the import process to ensure regulatory compliance and time and cost efficiencies.
  • Manage supply risk management by ensuring all import shipments follow required regulatory procedures including PVoC and Insurance.
  • Develop and continuously review SLA’s between Company and contracted service providers
  • Manage import processes in a cost effective and efficient way – support cost saving and cost avoidance objectives
  • Build strategic, professional and ethical relationships with the internal clients and external entities.
  • Define, implement and maintain inbound logistics policy master data parameters for all stock items to support the inbound logistics and supply planning process including
  • Promote Continuous Improvement including strategic reviews for inbound related functions utilizing quality processes and participate in high performance and self-directed work teams.
  • To plan shipment movements as per supplier promise dates to meet the company’s strategic objectives
  • Produce accurate and timely reports in accordance with the Supply Chain Metrics framework.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical Field or Equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Function especially in Inbound Logistics or Clearing & Forwarding.
  • Additional professional qualification in Supply Chain will also be considered e.g. CSCP, CIPS, CILT
  • Computer literate, proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP will be an added advantage
