Job Description
The purpose of the Human Resources Officer position is to handle personnel functions such as recruitment and placement, staff benefits, performance management, grievance and other areas of Human Resource activity at the head office. She/he supports and provide technical advice on HR issues to Area Administrators, conducts training need assessment and organizes training programs. The HR Officer will also keep a complete, comprehensive and up-to-date central data base system.

V. FREEDOM TO ACT
The HR officer is accountable for processing different HR activities including: recruitment, promotion, transfer, termination, disciplinary action, benefit administration and training etc. matters and ensuring that they are executed in accordance with regulations and directives of CARE and other relevant laws.
VI. CONTACTS/KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
The HR Officer is expected to collaborate with all partners and CARE Head Office and Field Office Staff.
VII. WORKING CONDITIONS AND LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED.
The post is located in Addis Ababa with about 10% of field travel.
