Functional Purpose 

  • Performs accounting tasks and admin-related issues. 

Responsibilities 

Performs any one or a combination of the duties listed below. 

  1. Maintains records and prepares statements of accountability for money order transactions. 
  2. Prepares various money order reports, such as the daily report of money order transactions of the main office, stations, and branches; summary report of money orders issued each, week, month, and a quarter. 
  3. Examines and verifies daily financial reports and deposits of the main office, stations, and branches. 
  4. Computes data for work-hours reporting program, totaling annual, sick, and other kinds of leave used by employees; consolidating reports of time worked, and computing data for quarterly budget estimates. 
  5. In addition, may perform any of the following duties: prepare performance reports on standard, special and non-standard operations from readily available data; prepare reports of absences, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. 
  6. Comply with Post Office uniform requirements. Any uniform provided must be looked after and be clean and ironed when reporting to work.  
  7. Sustain good attendance and be punctual when commencing work.   
  8. Occasionally performs other job-related tasks in support of primary duties. 

Skills the Personnel must demonstrate the following skills:

  1. Team building 
  2. Communications skills 
  3. Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheets and word processing programs at a highly proficient level, Peachtree 
  4. Time management skills

Job Requirement

Education, Experience, and Training 

Required Qualification: 

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance and two-year experience
