Job Description

  • Responsible for the integrity, growth and profitability of Territory Parts & Service Sales. 
  • Maintaining and supporting Company and Group objectives as well as developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and growth program for Parts Sales, Service Sales & associated initiatives. 

Objectives

  • Ensure the highest possible standards of Health & Safety are met
  • Meet or exceed Sales Target for Parts, CVA’s, Multi-Brand, Repair Options, Service Labour & Service Miscellaneous
  • Control Department Expenses in line with Annual Budgets
  • Recruit & develop a Product Support Sales Team who are dual focused – Parts & Service Sales
  • Own & develop Parts Excellence Programs / Sales Excellence as and when they are developed by the manufacturer & embraced by the Group.
  • Own the Customer Satisfaction Survey Program & ensure information is used to improve our level of Service to the Customer.
  • Travel frequently to customer sites and branch operations to develop customer relationships and develop / mentor staff

Accountabilities

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop Department Annual Sales, Expenses & Capex Budgets.
  • Ensure all Territory Parts and Service Sales objectives are met.
  • Develop a Sales Coverage Plan to ensure maximum coverage is achieved from the staff available.
  • Develop individual Customer Sales Plans to ensure the Sales Team have a focused approach to each Key Customer.
  • Provide administrative and policy guidance to direct reports on companyfma policies to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, review and monitor Department expenses and financial reports.
  • Develop implement and manage improvements in all aspects of Product Support Sales Operations. Motivate, direct and coach employees to achieve personal and corporate objectives.
  • Actively pursue all business in Territory to support Equipment, Parts and Service Sales by building and maintaining strong Customer relations.
  • Ensure that all Department Assets are well maintained and kept secure.
  • Conduct regular Audits to ensure Tooling, Equipment and Vehicles are being kept in an acceptable condition.
  • Ensure all Staff follow Company Policies and Procedures, where necessary ensure action is taken to enforce such Policies.

Managerial Responsibility:

  •  Participate in Company / Department Management Meetings as required
  • Take responsibility for additional Departments to cover Managerial Leave.
  • Produce Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Department Sales Performance Reports in line with Group Centre of Excellence / Senior Management Reviews.
  • Develop an ongoing Training Plan to ensure Sales Staff continually develop & can progress to more challenging roles if suitable.
  • Ensure Department Annual Leave is planned to provide the maximum amount of Sales Coverage at all times.
  • Ensure Parts Operations are informed of all New Models of Equipment which is entering Territory. Ensure plans are developed to support them.
  • Promote all areas of Product Support
  • Promote ‘Multi-Brand’ solutions whenever the opportunity arises, providing overall Maintenance Solutions to Customers operating mixed fleets.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent

Knowledge

  •  Commercial awareness with a demonstrable track record of maximizing productivity and sales
  • Comfortable with and able to analyze financial data
  • Thorough knowledge of sales, market trends and competition
  • Knowledge of the company products

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and staff
  • Strong leadership skills; able to manage, coach and motivate sales teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  •  Good English language skills
