We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Sales Capability Lead within Sales and Distribution Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below. 

Detailed Description 

Reporting to the EHOD – Sales Strategy and Distribution Capability, the position holder shall provide stewardship for the Safaricom Ethiopia consumer sales team and channel partners on matters capability and embed commercial excellence programs within the sales team to develop functional and leadership capabilities. The role holder will also be responsible for driving behavior change by challenging prevailing execution mindsets. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Area managers and regional sales managers to design and develop capability interventions
  • Develop and own and drive the capability agenda.
  • Influence sales force behavior change via innovative tools and processes
  • Deliver and champion the Safaricom way of selling (SWOS)
  • Drive adoption of sales force effectiveness programs across the sales teams.
  • Create alignment with cycle briefs through alignment to business goals
  • Develop and deliver training calendar.
  • Drive adoption of coaching for performance as a leadership mindset.
  • Working with sales support, ensure proper enablement of front-line teams
  • Enliven activities in cycle briefs and help build readiness to execute routines.
  • Drive adoption of sales force automation programs. By leading change efforts.
  • Innovate ways of working by benchmarking with best in class
  • Own and drive license to sell progress across the consumer sales organization

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Qualification with Post Graduate qualifications in Human Resource Development or any other relevant field
  • Minimum of 4 years post-graduation management experience in Sales with a Bias in Training, Capacity Development and sales support.
  • Strong evaluative and analytical skills
