We are pleased to announce the vacancy for Manager: Distribution in Infrastructure and Operations within the Technology function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below. 

Detailed Description 

Reporting to EHOD – Infrastructure and Operations, the role holder will be responsible for planning and supporting of all retail and Commercial Platforms with end-to-end accountability for systems support including MTTR, SLA, individual and global incidents.  

Job responsibilities  

  • End to end accountability for systems support including and not limited to MTTR, SLA, individual and global incidents 
  • End to end design and operation of the retail and commercials operations procedure and strategy. 
  • End to end accountability for building automated monitoring for all domain systems 
  • End to end accountability for building proactive controls based on machine learning and similar techniques 
  • Service availability and monitoring: - Define and monitor data and service availability for all Channels solutions. This includes ensuring that the set KPIs are met. 
  • Incidents and problem management: - Provide expert management of Incidents, root cause analysis, management of problems and closure of recurring incidents related to the responsible domains. This should be within the defined ITIL, ISO and other acceptable guidelines 

Planning  

  • Ensure all systems are on at least an n-1 release (latest stable release) 
  • Ensure all systems are well supported by relevant vendors    
  • Responsible for implementing proactive monitoring using automated techniques.  
  • Clear Vendor Management strategy with strict KPIs. 

Budgets 

  • Responsible for CAPEX and OPEX budget planning for Channels solutions. 
  • Vendor Engagement Support for Channels Solutions and managing the OPEX budget for the same. 

People Management 

  • Regular team and one-on-one engagements  
  • Build the skillset according to the fit for future program 
  • Team performance management 

Job Requirements

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering fields
  • 5+ years in software development/Support or telecom domain with 2+ years in team leadership position 
  • 3+ years’ experience in supporting Channels platforms, retail processes and Commercials platforms. 
  • 3+ Years’ experience in supporting contact center systems. 
  • Vendor management expertise 
  • People Management Skills 
  • Project Management expertise
