Job Description
Under the general supervision of Cleaning and Pressing Superintendent (Foreman), undertakes all activities related to boiler operation and controls and records proper functioning of the machines; accept and implement newly introduced system.
Job Requirements
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive on duty earlier than normal starting time for self-readiness and to observe all working conditions
- Receives work instruction from immediate supervisor
- Checks cleanliness of workplaces & status of machines daily & reports any abnormalities
- Keeps workplaces neat and ready for daily production in the workshop
- Operates the machines based on the labels indicated on the control board, if any abnormality exists, reports to the nearby mechanic or electrician
- Assists cleaning of all fittings, equipment, pumps, etc. in his custody
- Controls mixing of fuel and furnace at fixed ratio
- Makes sure that no unauthorized person is around the plant
- Removes waste products such as used oil, worn out parts and takes them to waste disposal area
- Ascertains that fire extinguishers are affixed at their proper location
- Handles instruments properly; follow GMP and respect safety rules when they are on job
- Accept and implements newly introduced system and strives to record tangible outcomes
- Participates in annual inventory
- Participate in job rotation to develop all rounded skill and experiences
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Education and Related Work Experience
Education
- 10+IV (Level IV) in General Mechanics/Mechanic or any other relevant field of study OR 10+III (Level III) in General Mechanics/Mechanic or any other relevant field of study
Related Work Experience
- First 10+IV (Level IV) in General Mechanics/Mechanic or any other relevant field of study and 4 years relevant work experience OR 10+III (Level III) in Applied General Mechanics/Mechanic or any other relevant field of study and 6 years relevant work experience
