Under the general supervision of Mechanical Division Manager, the Senior Mechanic undertakes daily mechanic and other various mechanic related maintenance activities of the department to achieve the maintenance plan and emergency break down. Receives new task execution procedure and confirms its proper implementation.  

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

• Arrive on duty earlier than normal starting time for self-readiness and to observe all working conditions
• Receives work instruction from Mechanical Division Manager.
• Organizes, controls and lead immediate subordinates to realize accomplishment of maintenance activities as per the plan.
• Prepares mechanic maintenance and preventive plan in collaboration with immediate supervisor; when permitted, prepares and executes maintenance program.
• Under takes all mechanic and other mechanic related maintenance activities for all machines and instruments under custody.
• Investigate spare parts prior to their assembly to machines.
• At the time of maintenance and preventive actions, controls and makes follow up of disassembly of machine parts and spare parts to be cleaned by cleaning agents and lubricated as per their peculiar properties
• investigate reasons for repeated malfunctioning of instruments and comment sustainable remedy to immediate supervisor
• Patrols in the production divisions to control & confirm proper functioning of all machines and instruments
• Approves leaves request of immediate subordinates taking work load into account
• Prepares and submits periodic reports on all mechanic related maintenance activities to immediate supervisor.
• Prepares annual leave schedules for subordinates and executes accordingly
• Fills regularly performance appraisal of subordinates by identifying their strength and weakness; advise them how to improve their performance
• Performs all related jobs upon request by immediate boss  

 Qualification and Requirement

Education

• 10+IV (Level IV) in General Mechanics/Mechanic OR 10+III (Level III) in General Mechanics/Mechanic.

Experience

• 10+IV (Level IV) in General Mechanics, Mechanic and 6 years relevant work experience OR 10+III (Level III) in General Mechanics/Mechanic and 8 years relevant work experience
