Job Description

Purpose of the position:

The Reporting and Communications Coordinator will collect and compile periodic quality reports of the WASH Program Operation within the due date with input from WASH program leads. Draft and manage calendar of reports for each WASH major reports; respond to queries from donors on reports and progress in conjunction with other WASH team lead personnel. Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Collect and compile periodic quality reports of the WASH Program Operation within the due date with input from WASH program leads. Draft and manage calendar of reports for each WASH major report; respond to queries from donors on reports and progress in conjunction with other WASH team lead personnel
  • Play a key role in the identification, capturing, distributing, sharing & replication of best practices and success stories
  • Liaising with the Communications Unit, ensure effective communications, visibility, and knowledge management of the WASH Division through developing visibility materials such as brochures, posters, update for the website, Update for social media, etc
  • Create and manage standardized templates related to information gathering/synthesis, donor reporting, and other purposes (e.g., narrative, financial, graphic, presentation, mapping, etc.)
  • Support in the development of efficient WASH grant proposals
  • Maintain well-organized WASH information database
  • Promote major cross-cutting themes including environment, gender, protection, disability, peacebuilding, and Christian commitment. 

Job Requirements

  • Educational level required: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Media and Journalism, Communications, English Language, Sociology, other related fields
  • NGO work experience preferably in the WASH sector
  • Experience: 3 years of experience for MA and 6 years for BA
  • Excellent command in both spoken and written English language will be an advantage
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English
  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes and maintain accurate records
  • Training or experience in development reports writing in English language
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in a timely manner
  • Certificate in report writing and communications
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential, as well as a critical eye for editing and grammar
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with respect for diversity
  • Fair knowledge of maintaining updated website information
  • Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills
  • Willingness to field travel regularly
  • Special training on reporting and communications
  • Training of Project Management
