Purpose of the job

The FGS & Logistics Head drives, for his/her site, all Bottle and Keg flows between FGS and Packaging, Factory to Agents, Agents to Factory and Transfer to site and Receiving from sites for Empty and Full products; CO2 cylinder reception and delivery involved in the activity of his/her site.

His/Her objective is to ensure a steady supply of any logistic warehouses of the site avoiding shortages and minimizing the costs, especially in terms of daily activity. (empty warehouse, FGS warehouse, Packaging Center, Export Center, Quarantine, Breakage)

Under the supervision of the Corporate FGS & Logistics Manager, he/she is responsible for the security of the products in the warehouses, and his/her staff.

He/She is responsible for the respect of the procedures (physical, FIFO, and on AX) on his/her site; and responsible for a daily report related to FGS activity mentioned on the below Duties and responsibilities

In connection with the various Site FGS & Logistics Heads, he/she works to control the goods/items in transit.

 Main duties & responsibilities

  • Logistics includes the determination of the loading sequence of trucks, the follow-up of those which are in transit.
  • This job requires daily communications with the Corporate FGS & Logistics Manager to reach the optimum delivery program for every day. Such communications are usually done in the morning time and accordingly, the loading and unloading sequences will respect the agreed-upon decision.
  • The FGS & Logistics Head must receive in advance a daily production program so that he/she can determine the delivery schedules and make the empties ready for bottling and Kegging. he/she is responsible to void production stoppage due to lack of empty.
  • Stock control: Storekeeper Heads will present a summarized report of the daily transactions with the final balances. The FGS & Logistic Head must therefore check the correctness of these summaries and assures that the balances at the end of the day reflect actual situation. he/she must always be aware of the arrival of empties and should authorize the loading of full on the basis of below planning.
  • All reports and communications related to FGS must be reviewed and sent by him/her. Every day, before 8 AM, he/she communicates a report containing:
  • Inventory of Full and Empty, per brand, per type
  • Controls on the Empty
  • Received quantities by naming each sender
  • Detailed issued items by naming each receiver
  • Daily demand and arrived agent in detail
  • Data fulfilling in the SLMS application and follow up of Trucks status for transfer on the system.
  • He/She has also to communicate twice or more a day on the inventory of his/her site with hierarchy.
  • At the end of the month, he/she sends to the same departments a summary of the month's transactions.
  • The monthly report includes the physical count statements. Besides this transaction report, he/she communicates the details of trucks loaded to and received from other sites each time when the loading and unloading process is completed. These communications are done through email or phone by completing the common format prepared for this purpose.
  • Manpower control and workers administration: The FGS & Logistics head is the first appraiser of all employees in the section.
  • follows and evaluates the performance of each worker. Of course, he/she receives and analyses the opinion that the StoreKeeper Heads have towards each employee.
  • controls the absence, behavior, and motivation of the employees at work
  • Manages Annual leave program and work shift if any
  • Ensures employees Uniform and safety availability and used at the proper place and time (with the proper information)
  • Implement and follow any needed control (random checking…) to ensure that his/her team works in the best way
  • He/She supervises the Piece Rate Workers team. he/she strictly checks the daily piece-rate team activity received from StoreKeeper Heads and prepare the approval for payment
  • He/She will manage the activity of the Inventory Controller of his/her site:
  • Preparation of reconciliation with financial data on Inventory
  • Checking the correctness of any records made by StoreKeepers in AX (maximum on D+1)
  • Reconcile daily physical inventory with AX
  • Preparation of any document needed…
  • In most cases, the success of the duties & responsibilities of the FGS & Logistic Head is based on communication skills using all means of communication. Based on this, he/she has to maintain smooth and harmonious communications both internally and externally.
  • Ensure the existence of mutual support and good communication within all his/her subordinates in his/her department and sections as well as with all related staff of all sites.
  • He/She also performs other company duties assigned to him by his/her immediate Supervisors

Job Requirements

  •  In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
  • Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  •  XL Knowledge
  • AX Knowledge is appreciated

Expected Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
  •  A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
