Main purpose of the job
To support the personnel manager in the provision of high quality and professional personnel service by providing advice and guidance on a range of personnel issues and by developing the appropriate policies and procedures to ensure that employment law and best practices are adhered to.
Main responsibilities
- Assist in the development of personnel policies and procedures to ensure that the company follows best practices and avoids infringing employment laws
- Assist in organizational change projects to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the company
- Monitor, evaluate, and participate in the company’s recruitment and selection process to ensure that the company recruits the best people for available jobs and complies with legislation and best practice relating to equal opportunities and discrimination
- Maintain all necessary personnel records to effectively monitor sick leave levels, implementation of equal opportunities policies, staffing levels, etc.
- Provide advice to managers on a range of employment issues to ensure that they manage their staff following best practices and legal requirements
- Prepare letters, policies, and other documents to terms and conditions of employment to ensure that the company complies with legal requirements
- Maintain a reference library of employment law information to ensure that the company continues to be up to date and in compliance with the most recent employment legislation
- Provide support and advice to managers on the planning of their workforce requirements
- Analyze job requirements and prepare job descriptions and person specifications for recruitment, job evaluation, and other purposes

Job Requirements
Knowledge, skills, and experience required
- BA degree and above in HR, Personnel Management from a qualified college or university
- A minimum of 5 years experience in personnel management
- Knowledge of the business the industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Exceptionally tact and discretion
- Good analytical and work ethics skills
