Job Description

Our Company SBG industry PLC seeks to hire competent, experienced and aspiring applicants to fill the following vacant position.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect, check and properly file all payment related documents (Payment Requests, Invoices, Agreements, etc.) on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and Reconcile Monthly Income Tax and Pension Contribution details to be declared to Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) based on the payroll data on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and Reconcile Monthly Value Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Tax details to be declared to Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) on a monthly basis.
  • Receive and compile Excise Tax documents to be declared to Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) on a monthly basis.
  • Follow up, prepare and reconcile all rent payments – Office, Warehouse, Vehicles etc. as per their respective contracts.
  • Prepare fuel payments and reconcile its prepayment account.
  • Reconcile all Vendor Ledgers on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare the payments of all Outsourced Services like Security, Pest Control, Loading Unloading of all warehouses, etc. as per their respective contracts.
  • Prepare the daily cash flow report communicating with responsible staffs members (like sales staffs) using the available template and report to the General Accounts Head.
  • Effectively work with computer applications and Peachtree accounting system.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Required educational background & work experience;

  • BA Degree in Accounting, At least (3) three years relevant work experience in the area.

  • Very good ability to interact and positively influence others
  • Ability to effectively describe and explain issues and events; competence to express ideas clearly in writing or otherwise.
  • First mover and actively tries to influence events to achieve goals; a self-starter who tries to achieve goals beyond minimal levels of performances.
  • Maintain high and acceptable level of ethical standard.
