Summary of the role:
The Site Manager ensures that the company’s high standard cleaning and hygiene operations are delivered at all times at the customer site. He/She is responsible to lead the Field Service Team (Process Technicians), ensuring proper delivery of value proposition in all required areas of the site on a daily basis.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintains regular customer contact and communication by utilizing daily planned site activities and scheduling meetings such as:
- Asset care (planning and maintenance meeting);
- Customer high level meeting and convey company requirements to site;
- Lead the water and energy project;
- Manage logistics procurement and debt follow up within site;
- Speedy dissemination and redress of customer complaints and queries in collaboration with relevant service line manager in charge;
- Prepare KPI for line chemical usage as per forecasted production and meet service delivery targets;
- Stock planning and control, liaising with operation to ensure timely delivery of service and product.
- Ensure customer satisfaction measures and KPIs are developed, achieved and maintained;
- Chemical optimization
- Trouble shooting and provide reports
- Identify selling opportunities by translating our products and services into value for customers;
- Safety custodian within the site: Ensure compliance of Health & Safety Policy
- Ensures PPE available and being used properly with site team
- Provide report on the Company’s Dash Board and review scores; preparation and submission of reports;
- Ensure monthly ABP invoicing and any non-contract sales is done and collections done as per the credit period agreements;
- Provide training to new staff in relation to expected standards and quality of general cleaning and health & safety requirements, particularly regarding the operation of equipment, manual handling and work and safety;
- Produce accurate and well planned work health and safety risk assessments documenting safe systems of work for use through the site by all process technician staff;
- Set and monitor appropriate performance objectives and standards for staff, conducting probation review and appraisals and dealing with staff discipline issues appropriately, through timely interviews and investigation, referring to the Country Manager / Business Development Manager for support;
- Monitor working time, working with the Business Development Manager to ensure that overtime casual – worker timesheets are completed correctly meeting payroll deadlines.
- Monitor and manage staff absence and turnover, ensuring flexible cover can be arranged at short notice, and promoting good staff attendance at all times through appropriate absence management techniques including home visits, return-to-work meetings and appropriate interviewing and investigation of absence issues;
- Maintain supplies of cleaning materials and equipment, keeping check of what will be required and placing orders to maintain stock levels.
- In liaison with Product Specialists in other departments of the company including the Business Development Manager and Supplies, test new products and equipment and obtain best value on purchases.
- Understand the needs of, and build excellent relationships with the site staff including the Customer Service Engineer, Business Development Manager and Technical Support Manager, ensure technician staff understand and follow security procedures, locking up when work is completed and reporting any breaches of security.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification:
- BSc in the field of Chemistry, food process engineering.
- Certificates, qualification or training in relevant areas of Work Health and Safety including general risk assessments, manual handling of first aid would be advantageous
Knowledge and skills requirement:
- Previous experience in hygiene and cleaning operations or FMCG industry leadership role
- Ability to communicate across different levels inside and outside organization
- Proven understanding of HACCP, COSHH, QA & Management Procedures
- Ability to improve team performance in terms of line efficiency, cost reduction, waste reduction and quality standards
- Able to engage and influence staff to prioritize, reschedule and show flexibility in carrying out work in light of changing site needs or due to absence or turnover.
- Ability to implement standards and procedures, training and guidance to staff, in particular work health and safety;
- Experience of managing a large and busy team with ability to delegate appropriately;
- Strong organization, prioritization and communication skills, able to work within time constraints and prioritize tasks according to the needs of site;
- Good basic standard of literacy and numeracy in order to support communication in a diverse environment and understanding of time, attendance and budget figures;
- General IT Skills – Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook;
- Fluent in English – reading, writing and speaking.
