Mr. Adem Kedir’s coffee trade career started as the succeeding generation from his grandfather Mr. Abbahawa and his father Mr. Kedir Hadjji Hassan in Ethiopia. As the third generation successor of the family coffee business, Mr. Adem has made the leap from his involvement in traditional and domestic coffee market to international coffee trade by forming his own business entity by the name of Horra Trading in 2005.

What was started as a simple trading business entity in 2005, Horra Trading has made it possible to create diversified businesses under Horra Corporate Group. Currently, Horra Corporate Group business portfolio includes coffee and oil seeds export, coffee plantation, automotive assembly, import and distribution, manufacturing, real estate development, and transit and forwarding.

Currently, Horra Corporate Group is led by the CEO, Mr. Adm Kedir, and by qualified and experienced professionals, with 450 permanent staff members and 800 temporary workers working in the corporate office and in different business units.

Duty Station: HCG Head Quarter, Addis Ababa

Purpose of the Job:

To generate revenue by translating Truck and Machinery sales strategy into the operational plan and defining short-term sales targets and resource use.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate regional sales team, and follow up Truck and Machinery or Automotive distribution quota. 
  • Monitor sales agreements are done as per the Company policy and procedures.
  • Set annual sales target and defining sales strategy to achieve sales target
  • Review and update agreement based on the sales team request and approvals.
  • Monitor that sales team understand and comply with company policy.
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms.
  • Receive and respond to customer service inquiries on purchase orders, fees, and charges.
  • Receive and handle inbound telephone calls from the sales team inquiring about products, return products, obtain quotes and assist with all customer satisfaction-related inquires. 
  • Work with Invoicing and collection officer to follow up payments.
  • Complete relevant documentation as required. 
  • Maintain an accurate record-keeping system (manually and electronically). 
  • Prepare data, reports, and documents, analyze the information as required.
  • Support regional sales executives who deal directly with dealers. 
  • Translate sales strategy into the operational plan by defining short-term sales targets and resource use.  
  • Follow up sales target achievement by monitoring regional sales executive’s performance.  

Job Requirements

Education Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing Management or related fields OR Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Marketing Management or related fields.

 Work Experience:

  • Four (4) years of demonstrated experience out of which two (2) years in a supervisory position for candidates with Masters OR six (6) years of demonstrated experience of which three (3) years in a supervisory position for candidates with Bachelor degree.
  • Experience in Sales of Heavy Trucks and Machineries is mandatory.
  • Fluent Communication skill in Amharic and English written, spoken and verbal is highly required.
  • Highly motivated and self-initiated
