Under the general supervision of Human Resources Manager, perform a variety of administrative, clerical and documentation activities and should be passionate about human resource policies, principles, practices, procedures and willing to help create a nourishing workplace.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in all HR functions (recruitment, preparing job descriptions, training, performance management, benefits administration etc.)
- Maintain soft copy of up-to-date employee records
- Ensuring that up-to-date information is on file for company employees.
- Completes paperwork and data entry for employee performance, all leave types, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus and leaves
- Process employee inquiries and provide relevant information
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings and training seminars
- Post job ads on careers pages and process incoming resumes
- Manage the department’s telephone calls and address queries accordingly
- Manage the department’s correspondences (both internal& external)
- Prepare letters and memos for internal communications
- May provide orientations for new employees
- Perform other duties as may be required
Job Requirements
Education
- First degree in Public Administration, Management, Human Resource Management, Secretarial science and Office Management (SSOM) or related
Work Experience
- 0-2 years related work experience
Other Competency Requirements
- Familiarity with HR software
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Office applications
- Knowledge of Ethiopian labor law
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Teamwork skills
