Reporting to position :Human Resource Manager
Purpose of the job
Develop, implement and monitor human resource strategy, policies and practices in the Brewery to ensure continuous availability of sufficient, qualified and motivated personnel, talent acquisition and management, benefits and employee Relations, while also controlling personnel costs in order to translate business challenges into HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Human Resource business support and jointly prepare the HR plan in line with OpCo HR business needs
- Integrated with the global/regional HR strategy
- Ensures to work with Management and Staff to set clear expectations and work with employees to nurture growth and foster a positive work environment. Also responsible for coaching, counselling, Performance Improvement Plans
- Incorporate creative sourcing techniques to identify quality candidates for the growing organization. Utilize effective interview techniques, and reference checking in order to hire ideal employees who want to advance and grow with the brewery in the proper timelines
- Partner with Management Team to create business/HR solutions and innovation related to conducting policy & system development; restructuring ,job analysis & staffing; managing talent management; etc
- Provide strategic HR advice to the management, and provide HR analyses to support decision making, in line with rules, policies and procedures
- Influencing high quality decisions making and enhancement of HR awareness
- Lead team working within the Management Team and facilitate coaching of individual senior managers
- Foster optimal relationship and managing of operational activities (including deal making, only on local level) concerning Unions and Industrial Relations
- Define, implement and execute policies and procedures for maintaining industrial relations with Unions
- Ensure the optimal development and execution of all HR processes by introducing management tools, monitor and benchmark methodologies and best practices of other OpCo/ Companies, and fact based measurements of HR function effectiveness and efficiency
- Maintain compliance in all areas of HR, in accordance with government laws. Review and advice recommendations to establish policies, procedures, handbooks
- Experience with full benefits administration, develop knowledge and experience in administering GPA, Medical, Compensation, Pension scheme. Canteen service, Vehicles/ Transport allowances etc
- Responsible for keeping, updating and running various reports, coordinate meetings, travel, etc.
- Participate on TPM implementation and creating safety awareness and safe work area
- Ensure all staff receives performance evaluation based on company policy
- Deal with any performance or grievance issues in a legally compliant way
- Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and legally compliant
- Provide day to day advice to line managers on all human resource issues.
Job Requirements
Education
- Masters or Bachelor in Management, Public Administration, HRM or relevant fields or equivalent.
Experience
- 5 years of experience in Human Resources, handling all functions. Prefer 2-3 years of Management experience as well.
- Oromifa language speaking
- Working knowledge of all HR processes ( including Compensation & Benefits and Industrial Relations)
- Experience with Commercial and Supply Chain part of the organization
- Project management experience
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge in ERP System
