Background
Under the current circumstance in Ethiopia, currently there is a heavy influx of ex-combatants who will require assistance to reintegrate into communities after long periods in exile. Hence, to secure sustainable and peaceful reintegration of the ex-combatants having returned to their communities IOM along with the Government of Ethiopia is going to implement Social and Economic Reintegration of Ex-combatants (SERE) Project.
Under the overall supervision of the SERE Program Manager, direct supervision of the Senior Program Assistant-MEAL (G6) and working in close coordination with the Transition and Recovery team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day monitoring and follow up of the implementation of various components of the SERE project as well as regular reporting on the progress regarding project implementation in his/her respective regional state where SERE is operational. The candidate will be based in regional state where Project Coordination Unit will be established for the implementation of SERE project and serve as the IOM’s M&E focal point for the SERE project in the regional state.
