Ilanga is a non-profit organization empowering most vulnerable children and single mothers to be psycho—emotionally resilient and socio-economically self-sufficient. Ilanga is registered in accordance with the FDRE Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No. 1113/2019 with certificate No4487 of October 07, 2019.

Opening Date: March 25, 2021

Place of Work: Addis Ababa

Duration: One year with a possible extension.

Salary: As per ilanga Ethiopia salary scale.

Position: Child Center Cook (1)

Required: 1

Main Responsibilities:

• Planning and preparing meals for the center children
• Preparing requests and purchase of food and other kitchen items
• Weekly and monthly plan and report to the Project coordinator

Job Requirements:

• Grade 10 and above formal education
• Short term training in kitchen management and catering services or related field
• Strong understanding of balanced diet and its importance especially during the early childhood stage of development
• Ability to plan and prepare a balanced diet using cheap/affordable food items available on the local market
• Living around the place of work (Nefas Silk Lafto Sub/City, preferably Woreda 6 or the surrounding)
