Job Description

Introduction

  • The Forum of Federations is an international learning organization, based in Canada, working on federal and devolved governance across the globe. The Forum has been established in Ethiopia since 2008 as an international organization registered under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project “Strengthening Federal Governance and Pluralism in Ethiopia”, a five-year project funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) is being implemented by the Forum of Federations in close cooperation with various Ethiopian partners led by the House of Federation. The project’s ultimate outcome is to contribute to a strengthened and more responsive federal system for Ethiopian men and women.
  • This call is for a qualified leadership consultants who will work in collaboration with a governance consultant, Forum team and partners to help establishing a partnership strategy and to design, develop and rollout the leadership content, methodology and tools for the dialogue program. 

Objective of Initiative

  • The overall objective of this assignment is to lead us in establishing partnership strategy and in designing, developing toolkits and delivering the leadership content of Youth Dialogue Program. This initiative aims to strengthen Ethiopian youth’s understanding and effective engagement on major governance issues facing the country, thereby contributing to a more pluralist and inclusive political environment, gender equality and sustainable peace.

Job Requirements

The consultant should demonstrate the following qualifications.

  • Post-graduate qualification in leadership, management, business administration, psychology or any other related discipline.
  • Professional qualification related to analysis, design and delivery of participatory dialogue methodologies and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing and implementing leadership training/dialogue and development programs.
  • Strong understanding and commitment to gender equality in analysis, design and implementation of such programs.
  • Experience of working in multicultural contexts;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent facilitation and training skills;
  • Proven ability to adapt the methodology to different context;
  • Experience in working with youth leaders;
