Role Purpose
British Council will implement the Peace Education In East Africa (PEIEA) Project – an ambitious and innovative peace education programme in Sudan and Ethiopia. We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the project delivery in Ethiopia and deliver against the programme’s stated objectives.
Challenges & Accountabilities
The ideal candidate should be experienced in project management and building long term sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders. As the post holder you will make major contributions to the successful delivery and management of the British Council’s Ethiopia activities as part of the regional programme Peace Education in East Africa project, and so must be deadline drive with strong organizational skills while paying attention to details. The role holder will also be responsible for managing the financial, granting, contracting and operational functions of the programme team, and will ensure compliance with the British Council’s policies and project management framework as well as the PACA contractual requirements. Furthermore, you will deliver the monitoring and evaluation plan for Ethiopia, using the programme’s monitoring and evaluation framework developed by M&E lead.
As with any business that experiences peaks and troughs of activity, there is likely to be a need to work outside office hours from time to time.
