Duties
- Under the Disability Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the incumbent will carry out the following function;
- Networking with different INGOs including Disability focused International None Governmental Organizations (DINGO) member organizations to foster collaboration and create synergy among partners who are working on the issues of PWDs and their supports to MoLSA,
- Research the priorities of new and existing Development partners(DPs) and donors, establish and strengthen relationship with DPs and donors, and keep up-to-date with funding trends and opportunities from institutions, governments, foundations, business firms etc.,
- Mapping Development Partners (DPs) for more coordination works as well as donors for resource mobilization, be a focal person for DINGO members within MoLSA Disability Affairs Directorate, support the staff Capacity Building efforts in the directorate to strengthen inclusiveness, support UNCRPD implementation and monitoring within MoLSA, government offices at national, regional BoLSAs, DPs and key donors,
- Research, identify and manage privet sector partnership including in the form of corporate social responsibility regarding disability inclusion issues and resource mobilization, engage with directorate teams and identify funding needs and future program plan in response to resource mobilization,
- support the capacity building and resource mobilization team in resource mobilization program work, including developing program and project design and content, supporting the development of M&E frameworks, and producing budgets,
- Work with the directorate teams and other colleagues across the sector including the finance team, to produce high quality resource mobilization proposals, ensuring that DPs and donors’ requirement and guidelines are understood and met,
- Keep the director of the directorate informed about funding opportunists, DPs and donors engagement,
- Support public awareness and community mobilization team in the production of country-specific awareness raising and public mobilization strategies,
- Develop private sector and public fundraising opportunity and activities,
- Develop and meet all public and resource mobilization strategies, targets, proposals and timelines,
- Attract, build and develop relationship with new and existing DPs and donors to secure long term and increasingly growing funding across a wide range of target,
- Ensure a mixed portfolio of funders to practice standards, reporting deadlines respecting terms and conditions and collection of efficient grant incomes,
- Ensure the development of program proposals in coordination with teams and in response to funding opportunities,
- Perform national and international funding process, including support with writing proposals, applications, producing budgets and the production of log-frames,
- Supervise, follow-up and produce report multiple project life cycle,
- Maintain an accurate database of current and prospective donors, funding application and their outcomes.
- Develop Disable People Organizations (DPOs) mapping strategy and maintain national DPOs database for further operation in the process of DPOs strengthening in the national level, be a focal person for partners’ routine communication and bridging the time gap between the leadership at the disability affairs directorate and the development organizations including DINGO members,
- Perform other relevant duties given by the director.

Duty station- Addis Ababa
Report to: the Senior Disability Expert will report to the Disabilities Affairs Directorate of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MoLSA)
Salary: 2,000 USD paid monthly in equivalent ETB, including all taxes and benefits
Duration of the contract: from July 2020- June 2021 for one year and will be renewed based on performance and availability of fund
Job Requirements
- MA/MSc / MBA / MPH /PhD in the fields of Development Studies, Management, Business Management/Administration, Public Management, Public Health, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Social work, Social Anthropology.
Specialized knowledge
- Knowledge and skills of integrated program and project development, planning and management, budgeting and monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects.
- Proficient in the computers and computer software relevant to the position.
Experience
- At least 8 years of related experience for Masters Degree holders and 6 years of related experience for PhD holders in project planning and management, capacity building and resource mobilization within a public or privet sector, national or international organizations. Working in the line management position for 2 years and above considered to prioritizing the candidacy.

- Previous experience in preparing multiple funding application forms and writing detailed and compelling proposals
- Excellent in English and Amharic both oral communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional project management skills with ability to priorities and deals with a variety of tasks
- Ability to work as part of team.
