Job Summary

Children Believe Fund is non-profit, child-centered and community based international development organization working in different regions of Ethiopia including in Amhara, Oromia, SNNPRS and Addis Ababa City Administration to improve the quality of life for children and youth through enhanced family and community capacity for sustainable development.

Children Believe Fund wants to commission consultant to undertake mid-term review of its program activities planned and implemented from April 2019- September 2020 with the overall objective of assessing the progress to date in achieving the results of the program, reviewing program relevance and effectiveness in light of the child poverty issues and priorities of the country contexts and exploring new opportunities emerging in post-COVID-19 pandemic situations.

Job Requirements

Interested consultant shall meet the following qualification and experience requirements:

• A professional license for consultancy in similar tasks.
• A post-graduate degree, preferably PhD, in relevant social sciences fields including international development, management, sociology, social work or in the thematic areas of education, public health, human rights and child development.
• At least ten progressive years’ experience especially on participatory evaluations or reviews of complex child rights and gender equality focused programs for likeminded organizations in the industry. 
• Knowledge of Canadian humanitarian aid and charity sector as well as donors’ environments desirably Global Affairs Canada, European Union, UN Agencies and private foundations.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Amharic, Oromiffa and English Languages
• Evidence of similar work in the recent past will be a key requirement.
• Ability to collect and analyze data using online applications and computer assisted interviews.
• Ability to collect geo-location data.
