JOB PURPOSE
Provide strategic direction, leadership and management of corporate manpower, performance, recruitment, and compensation activities while developing and implementing best practice and competitive HR policies, procedures and benefits that support delivery of business objectives
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead, develop, and execute company’s short, medium, and long-term HR strategy
- Create and drive annual HR strategy and cascade best practices across the organization, in conjunction with Corporate HR
- Develop performance reward strategies and processes
- In collaboration with directors, continually monitor and evaluate company structure/staffing levels; recommend changes to GM
- Communicate the policies and procedures; assist line managers to interpret and implement the procedures to ensure consistency of approach within the organization
- Advise managers on HR issues and risks and so they are aware of the implications of their HR/personnel decisions
- Liaise with external consultants when required, to ensure the company receives high quality HR support and services
Structure HR and performance management policies & procedures in alignment with best practices
- Contribute to the overall management of company through development & implementation of best practice HR systems
- Ensure HR plans/policies are monitored and reviewed to reflect current best practice and legal requirements
- Establish a performance management system and set relevant performance targets for the HR team to support objectives
- Direct the recruitment and selection programs to ensure that the company obtains the services of the best possible recruits.
- Update/create local personnel policies and procedures, and oversee implementation of corporate policies and procedures
Operational HR
- Support compensation & benefit program; approve claims adjustments, approve invoices and explain benefit information to employees
- Oversee HR Information System records / database reports
- Manage probation program
- Responsible for ensuring personnel files are maintained in accordance with company policy and all legal requirements
- Manage staff medical, life and accident insurance programs
- Formulate recruitment strategies to ensure company needs are met on time, within budget and at the required quality level
- Organize induction and orientation of new staff
Teamwork, Employee Excellence & Change
- Support development of company-wide environment that promotes employee engagement & team effectiveness
- Define HR structure to ensure effective communications and use of company resources
- Set KPI’s for HR team aligned with company mission and vision
- Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide feedback on strengths, areas for improvements and development opportunities
- Motivate and develop subordinates to foster a cross-functional team approach to meet Department’s objectives and their own for raised competencies to meet more challenging requirements
- Advise the GM and managers on setting organizational change objectives and developing action plans
- Develop organizational change programs that are sensitive to the corporate culture and support strategic objectives
- Manage and regularly monitor the effectiveness of organizational change efforts
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or equivalent
- Masters or MBA preferred
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 10-12 years HR management experience
- 5-7 years in a HR senior management position
Job-Specific Skills:
- Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations, employment contracts, performance management frameworks, manpower planning and HR information management systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team building skills
