Job Description
Purpose of The Job
Under the financial planning & business control Manager, the overheads & General Controller is responsible for the overheads and general controls: controls fixed costs, administration, and distribution costs; establish financial controls & ensures payroll activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Control all fixed costs, related to factory overhead, administration and distribution costs
- Ensure proper recording in accordance with company procedures
- Establish and maintain financial controls
- Ensure all payroll, payroll-related activities, and payroll deductions are recorded in compliant with contracts and payroll laws
- Reconcile financial discrepancies as they arise, after checking out the causes for the discrepancies.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
- Control prepayment and provision accounts are properly
- Participate in fixed cost budget and budget review preparation
- Collect and consolidate financial data
- Control all fixed costs against the approved budget, the contracts, and the Provisions
- Support on the month-end and year-end process
- Assist the FP & CM in presenting reports to senior executives,
- Fixed cost Variance Analysis, actual vs Budget and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions
- Ratio Analysis for major Fixed costs
- Report to the FP & CM with timely and accurate financial information
- Will be tasked with additional controller duties as necessary
Job Requirements
- Information System Management skills
- Excellent Analytical & budgeting skills
- Sound communication & Problem-solving skills
- Must be detailed Oriented
- Ability to set and meet deadlines
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
- Good understanding of IFRS Accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software
Expected Education and Experience
- BA Degree in Accounting and Finance or related field.
- 2 to 5 years-experience in an international FMCG, Industrial company or in an auditing firm
