Job Description
Scope:
Provision of a commercial, contractual and financial management service to projects and the business to ensure project and business profit objectives and targets are met and cash is managed to maximize cash performance, all in a manner consistent with the Group process
Responsibilities:
- Will have thorough understanding of the project drawings, specification, bill of quantities and International and Local Contracts
- Will prepare cash flow for the project
- Will prepare and maintain records of all material submittals and approvals
- Will prepare daily work progress and material reports to the Head Office and to PMS
- Will prepare sub-contract agreements
- Will prepare and maintain the approved suppliers’, materials’ and sub-contactors’ lists
- Will follow up on procurement schedules for both material and sub-contract works
- Will co-ordinate sub-contractors’ material submittals
- Will prepare final valuations
- Will advise on commercial risks within the project
- Will prepare monthly contract review reports
- Will prepare the contractual and commercial input into the PROJECT EXECUTION PLAN
- Will ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement
- Will conduct sub-contractors’ valuation
- Will interface with quality and safety teams to ensure that sub-contractors are selected on the basis of quality and safety performances as well as cost
- Will undertake and be actively involved with the safety and quality management of the site
Reporting to: Project Director
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying /Civil Engineering/Construction Technology Management or Diploma in Building and Construction
- Experience: Minimum 15 years
- The ideal candidate shall have an international experience/or worked with international companies here in Ethiopia – and have a proven track record of the successful management of the mentioned functions.
