Job Description

Scope: To develop and implement solutions through the procurement of goods and services to support Project objective.

Responsibilities:

• Will maintain knowledge of the Ethiopian construction market
• Will be aware of developments in the local, national and international supply market
• Will go through the project scope of work such as drawings, specification, quality plans, Contracts and project program
• Will create, foster and maintain working relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors, who are committed to producing good quality service, competitive prices and see EEIG as contractor of first choice
• Will comply with all aspects of the approved business processes and procedures
• Will draft suitable terms and conditions and sub-contract documentation that is fair and
• reasonable and gives the required level of contractual protection to EEIG
• Will take part and assist in subcontractor and supplier negotiations
• Will oversee the day-to-day operation of the project procurement team
• Will provide comprehensive advice and assistance into work winning by assisting other
• departments in identifying innovative competitive solutions and obtaining competitive tenders
• Will undertake and be actively involved with the safety and quality management of the site

Reporting to: Project Director 

Job Requirements

• First Degree/Diploma in related fields of procurement or engineering

Experience: Minimum 10 years  

• The ideal candidate shall have an international experience/or worked with international companies here in Ethiopia – and have a proven track record of the successful management of the mentioned functions
