Background

NIRAS International Consulting is owned by foundation, the NIRAS GROUP is an international multidisciplinary consultancy firm with Nordic roots and values. We design, implement, and manage projects and investments that bolster economic development, enhance livelihoods, reduce inequality, improve education and health, and build environmental resilience. With more than 45 years of continuous presence across the Africa continent (including in Ethiopia) , and through the 300 or so projects that NIRAS international consulting pool of experts helps implement in well over 100 countries on annual basis , and contributed to the SDG.

NIRAS is looking for consultants for an anticipated Community-Led Accelerated WASH, Phase IV (COWASH IV) in Ethiopia, Implementation.

The Programme (COWASH IV) will be implemented in coordination with the Ethiopian Ministry for Water, Irrigation and Energy (MoWIE). At the regional level cooperation will be coordinated with the Bureaus of Finance and Economic Cooperation, Bureaus of Water, Irrigation and Energy in association with the relevant WASH partners, Bureaus of Health, Bureaus of Education as well as Bureaus of Women, Youth and Children.

Job Requirements

• Experience in rural water supply, sanitation and water resources management 
• Experience using community participation and management approach in WASH / rural development programs 
• Experience in capacity building and training of trainers 
• Experience in crosscutting issues: gender equality, PWDs and environment/ climate resilience
