Invitation to Bid to Contract to Conduct a comprehensive Gender Analysis for USAID funded project Feed the Future - Resilience in Pastoral Areas Activity (RiPA)- North implemented by CARE in partnership with Mercy Corps.

CARE ETHIOPIA invites bids from eligible bidders for a consultancy assignment to provide quantitative and qualitative information, sex-age disaggregated data and analysis on the gender situation across RiPA activity intervention areas. This information is mainly essential for developing/refining the RiPA North gender strategy that aims to integrate gender considerations in each component along the project cycle management and provide the basis for developing gender-transformative actions, indicators and progress marker monitoring.

The purpose of the assignment is to explore the gender related rights denials in pastoral context and unpack issues, factors and reasons on how gender relations will affect the achievement of the RiPA goals. The Gender Analysis is expected to identify the key and existing social and gender norms that are relevant to and responsible for perpetuating gender inequality in the pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in the targeted Regions/woredas. The consultancy service is expected to be provided periodically and on different occasions (specific).

All bids shall be accompanied by a valid/renewed license for the year 2012/2013 E.C., TIN certificate and VAT registration certificate. CARE Ethiopia will consider value for money on evaluating the bid.

All separately sealed technical and financial proposals clearly marked as Consultancy Assignment on Gender Analysis for Resilience in Pastoralist Areas (RiPA)- North Project and the Bid # 058 should be submitted in person to CARE Ethiopia, Procurement Unit, and Addis Ababa, around 22 Mazoria, behind Lex Plaza building, next to Ha’Geez Cultural Restaurant, on or before December 18, 2020 @ 4:00pm.

CARE Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject part and/ or all of the bids.
