Job Description

On behalf of our clients, Kifiya Financial Technology, we are looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Lead.

Job purpose

Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning Lead will be responsible for developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for all programmatic activities. S(he) will report to the Head of Programs and will help create a cutting-edge and human-centered approach to monitoring, evaluation, and learning within the organization.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Lead all organizational M&E activities, create M&E frameworks (indicators, tools, and methodologies), and ensure practices are aligned to industry standards and/or compliant to donor requirements
  • Design and write necessary quantitative and qualitative surveys, i.e. baseline, midline, end line. as designated by project monitoring and evaluation framework and indictors
  • Design and lead the survey/data collection process to meet monitoring & evaluation plans– perform required translations, use appropriate digital technologies for survey deployment, ensure the quality of deployed surveys
  • Project manage the data collection processes – may require working with/contracting enumerators
  • Monitor projects’ progress against the framework indicators and perform data analysis; conduct impact assessments
  • Establish a data quality management approach and strategy within the organization
  • Assist in the implementation, dissemination, and use of evaluations, assessments, and monitoring data in program development, adjustment, or review
  • Contribute to learning through supporting specific analysis, brainstorming lessons learned, and reports. Prepare visualizations and analysis for reports, as needed
  • Any other tasks as assigned

Working relationships

Internal Relationships:: The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Lead will be:

Directly accountable to the Head of Programs: Required to work with program teams and marketing department

External Relationships :Partners, Government, NGOs among others Contract enumerators and translators

Salary: 30,000-40,000

Job Requirement

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, international development, public policy, or related field. A post-graduate degree is an advantage
  • Minimum three years in relevant roles that required collecting, collating, analyzing, and reporting data, in either public, private and non-government institutions
  • At least one-year managing or leading the development and management of monitoring and evaluation workstream within a program team
  • Experience working with multi-year, large donor-funded projects
