Contract Duration: Definite period 

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to implement the emergency nutrition programme as per the refugee UNHCR Harmonization Guidance Note protocols, National Guideline and international standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate proper management of BSFP/TSFP/OTP/SC stocks monitor rates of consumption and ensure supplies are ordered in timely manner
  • Prepare monthly and weekly planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring of BSFP/TSFP/   OTP and SC in their nutrition sites.
  • Ensure that the BSFP/TSFP/OTP/SC components of the nutrition project is of good quality and is reaching international standards for performance with support from the site team leaders.
  • Co-ordinate, manage and support the nutrition workers to implement the refugee BSFP/TSFP/ OTP/SC services according to national guideline, Harmonization Guidance Note and Concern policies.
  • Support staff capacity development under his/her supervision through coaching and mentoring to enhance the quality of the project.  
  • In collaboration with Nutrition Manager and site team leader facilitate SAM management training to Nutrition workers and ARRA health center staff
  • Ensure the continual availability of food, medicine, and other supplies required for the project in the identified nutrition center and ensure its proper management, including ordering, storage, and monitoring.
  • Ensure and support the Nutrition workers in recording, reporting and supply management of OTP and SC programmes
  • Conduct CMAM component monitoring with team leaders and Nutrition Manager and ensure quality of implementation
  • Ensure referrals and linkage between CMAM components the BSFP/TSFP and/or OTP/SC
  • Regularly facilitate and participate in nutrition programme staff meetings
  • Ensure good collaboration and participation of ARRA, UNHCR, WFP and other partners.
  • Conduct regular supportive supervision to BSFP, TSFP, OTP and SC sites
  • Participate in nutrition and coverage surveys and other assessments as needed
  • Prepare monthly progress reports and any other required documentation for submission to the Site team Leader
  • Ensure weekly & monthly reports are submitted to the project manager using appropriate format
  • Report any problems in a timely manner to the Site team Leader
  • Perform any other duties appropriate to the position as assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

Person Specifications; 

  • BSc Degree in Public Health/Nursing with minimum of three years or Diploma in clinical nursing five years relevant experience
  • Profound experience in CMAM, particularly SAM and MAM management
  • Computer literate
  • NGO experience in emergency Nutrition projects is mandatory
  • Good communication and report writing skills
  • Speaker of local language(Agnuak and Nuer languages preferred)
