JOB SUMMARY
The Photographer, a locally employed staff, is responsible for taking, editing, documenting and sharing of permanent visual images for overall program and sponsorship communication activities as per the required standards and due dates. Under the direct supervision of the Sponsor Child Relation Officer.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Result Area #1- Program and Sponsorship Communication
- Prepares plan of action and budget for the component;
- Responsible for taking all Program and Sponsorship communication photos with set quality standards;
- Creates and manages electronic files/database to document and share sponsorship communication and program related photos with Sponsorship and Program Staff both at projects and head office for exchange, tracking, sorting, administrative and communication purposes;
- Responsible for scheduling and setting up shoots, traveling to different sites, maintaining equipment, record-keeping and image processing;
- Equips project staff with conceptual/theoretical knowledge and skills in photography

SAFETY AND SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Each FHE staff member should adhere to all pertinent policies concerning safety and security policy of FH. Lapses in safe conduct can jeopardize the health and welfare of all staff.
- Every FHE staff member has an obligation to learn and understand the security situation where they are located.
- Each FHE staff member should adhere to all pertinent policies concerning safety and security. This includes, but not limited to, personal safety, road safety, etc.
GENDER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide adequate time to staff to participate in gender sensitivity workshops and related events.
- Through observation, interviews, and spot-checks, ensure that the staff planning, Implementation, monitoring and Evaluation process is gender sensitive.
- Facilitate open and regular discussions with staff on about the work environment, policies, and values convenient to gender issues.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- 10+3 Vocational diploma in photography or relevant field of study.
- At least 3 Years’ experience in a similar position preferably in an International NGO settings.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS .
- Use of extensive range of technical equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting and specialist software;
- Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic and /or local language of the operational area and, basic understanding of English required;
