Job Description :

1. JOB BRIEF: We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong track record in engineering and construction projects. For this role, experience of projects relating to the manufacturing, installation or commissioning of manufacturing machinery are required. The position has a primary responsibility for the overall management of projects throughout the company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the estimating of projects, procurement of material and rental equipment, scheduling of work force, interaction with and liaison between contractors, consultants, and suppliers ensuring that the project is completed according to specification and quality standards. The main objective of management during construction and installation is to supervise simultaneously the project schedule and cost plan, while managing professionals with different backgrounds and behaviors.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
3. Estimate projects during the bidding phase, and follow-up with the process and granting
4. Write and release proposals and purchase orders to customers, subcontractors and vendors.
5. Project management duties to include; procure material, setup vendor accounts, approval of invoices, order rental equipment, etc. all according to predetermined and approved schedules.
6. Monitor all phases of projects to ensure alignment with budgets and estimates, making team aware of issues, coordinating adjustments to achieve projected objectives.
7. Give due attention to Installation with scheduling of manpower, required resources and the overall project timeline.
8. Act as liaison between contractors, consultants, and suppliers ensuring that the project is completed according to specification and quality standards, helping to implement company policy and procedures.
9. Assist outsourced expatriates with accommodations and being a contact person for them and their company
10. Must be able to Define activity, Sequence activity, Estimate the duration of activity, develop a schedule, and Maintain a schedule
11. Must be able to produce periodic reports in a comprehensive manner; and keep proper documentation of the projects’ history, including what was done, who was involved, and what could be done better in the future.
12. Experience of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the manufacturing sector or similar environments.
13. Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
14. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
15. Good knowledge of local regulations that govern the construction and installation of machinery.

The candidate is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required and assigned from time to time.

Job Requirement

1. MSc/BSC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Science, Technology, or related Engineering fields; and Business Management Educational background will be a plus.
2. PMP certification is desirable.
3. Proficient with MS office products and project management tools
4. Able to introduce and implement project management techniques
5. Fluent in reading mechanical blueprints
6. Work Experience of 10+ years, of which Minimum of 5 years work experience in a related position
7. Understanding of Machines/Tools/Equipment.
8. A valid driver’s license

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The position requires significant work at construction job sites, during all stages, in all types of weather conditions. Must be able to perform activities requiring use of arms and legs, including climbing ladders/scaffolding, lifting & handling materials. Must be able to speak & understand detailed information through oral communication and be able to see clearly and recognize small details.
