Job Description
The CPD specialist will work closely with partners and government counter parts to develop a strong culture of delivery of reformed CPD for school leaders. S/he will oversee and liaise with regional TTEs in relation to pilot intervention in four of the emerging regions and school leader CPD pilot and scale up at regional level. S/he will also collaborate closely with CPD TARGET technical expert at MOE.
Job Requirements
Knowledge
- Master’s degree and above in School Leadership, Education Planning and Management, Inclusive education, gender, or related field of study
- Understanding of education sectors, with a broad perspective on how the Ethiopian system operates including role of public, private, and non-government organizations
- Strong knowledge of effective school leadership
- Strong knowledge on girl’s education intervention in Ethiopia
- Strong awareness of and responsiveness to digital learning technology
Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in implementing monitoring multi-year, multi-component education programmes
- School leadership training on the areas of; instructional leadership; leadership for school improvement, leadership for inclusion, girls’ education, equity and excellence and leadership for building a culture of continuous improvement, high expectations and accountability
- Leading education reform
- Planning, prioritizing, sequencing, managing, problem-solving and reporting on
implementation of projects
