Job Description

  • Manage the stock management.

1) daily communication with logistic department

2) daily communication with production for the specific needs based on the stock and expeditions.

 

  • Responsible for all the blend expeditions that will be transported to customers.
  • Follow up closely the blending of menu's executed in the silo.
  • Together with the Production Manager search for solutions to address the needs of the customers (quality minded).
  • Decide if deliveries are possible or not based on a stock evaluation.
  • Follow up the demands of customers based on reshipment and shipment samples.
  • Understand how and are able to make certificates for customers.
  • Understand how malt production in Ethiopia works.
  • Understand how silo in Ethiopia works.
  • Be first in-line contact to the silo-team on malt quality and theoretical vs. practical weight differences in bins.
  • Be part of the weekend follow up of the production team.
  • Follow up on the demands of customers about the use of insecticides and make sure this is communicated to silo operators.
  • Work closely with silo management to follow up on empty bins/ preparations of pre blends
  • Flexible to adapt blends last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Be able to work under stress and with deadlines.
  • Follow up the stock situation and lab analysis on a daily basis
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and a strong interest in math, analysis and beer production is a plus.

Job Requirements

Degree in Food Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and related

5 years  proven experience in areas like brewing, grain quality management, malting, barley sourcing, and related areas

  • Strong communication, presentation and reporting skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong analytical, critical and synthesis thinking
  • Ability to interpret large amount of data, to supply management and inventory control
  • Proficiency in ground logistics in complex environments
  • Willingness to work on the ground with all stakeholders of the barley supply chain in Ethiopia
  • Basic Microsoft office management is a plus
