Job Description
- Manage the stock management.
1) daily communication with logistic department
2) daily communication with production for the specific needs based on the stock and expeditions.
- Responsible for all the blend expeditions that will be transported to customers.
- Follow up closely the blending of menu's executed in the silo.
- Together with the Production Manager search for solutions to address the needs of the customers (quality minded).
- Decide if deliveries are possible or not based on a stock evaluation.
- Follow up the demands of customers based on reshipment and shipment samples.
- Understand how and are able to make certificates for customers.
- Understand how malt production in Ethiopia works.
- Understand how silo in Ethiopia works.
- Be first in-line contact to the silo-team on malt quality and theoretical vs. practical weight differences in bins.
- Be part of the weekend follow up of the production team.
- Follow up on the demands of customers about the use of insecticides and make sure this is communicated to silo operators.
- Work closely with silo management to follow up on empty bins/ preparations of pre blends
- Flexible to adapt blends last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Be able to work under stress and with deadlines.
- Follow up the stock situation and lab analysis on a daily basis
- Willingness to work flexible hours and a strong interest in math, analysis and beer production is a plus.
Job Requirements
Degree in Food Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and related
5 years proven experience in areas like brewing, grain quality management, malting, barley sourcing, and related areas
- Strong communication, presentation and reporting skills
- Project management skills
- Strong analytical, critical and synthesis thinking
- Ability to interpret large amount of data, to supply management and inventory control
- Proficiency in ground logistics in complex environments
- Willingness to work on the ground with all stakeholders of the barley supply chain in Ethiopia
- Basic Microsoft office management is a plus
