Key Duties

• Advises and assists the Board and higher-level Managers in establishing effective and adequate internal control systems;
• Ensures that the Company resources are safeguarded, records are accurate and reliable and that work is done efficiently and orderly;
• Assists all work units in the Company to effectively discharge their responsibilities;
• Ensures the reliability and integrity of financial and operating data;
• Prevents and detects fraud, errors, and irregularities and liaises with the External Auditor

Job Requirement

Education: A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields from a reputable university

Experience:  10 years of experience out of which 4 years in insurance Audit supervisory position Certification in Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or IFRS diploma is advantageous

Knowledge and Skill

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skill including report writing skill
• Ability to handle confidential issues/information  Fluent in both written and spoken English
• A team player capable of motivating staff working with full commitment and initiative
• Computer literacy in all Microsoft Office Packages and a strong understanding of IT systems
