About Roots Ethiopia
Roots Ethiopia is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization incorporated under the Wisconsin Statutes in the United States of America. Roots Ethiopia is registered as a Foreign Charity by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO), under Registration No. 3847. It works together with local communities to improve schools, educate children, and enable livelihoods. These are community priorities, so they are our priorities.
The overall objective is to improve access to and quality of primary education in Ethiopia. Specific objectives include:
a) To provide learning resources for under-resourced primary schools;
b) To provide school sponsorship for underprivileged students;
c) To provide income generating grants for poor families with school children;
Roots Ethiopia (RE) currently implements projects in 4 zones of Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region of Ethiopia. RE invites you, the qualified candidate, to apply for the following position;
Job Summary:
Under the guidance of the Country Manager (CM), s/he supports Roots Ethiopia’s operations particularly in project monitoring and evaluation, and learning. S/he works to improve our understanding of the impact of our projects, and how we can make them more effective. S/he will maintain the M&E systems of the country programs, ensuring they are implemented effectively. This needs to be supported by conducting and analyzing research data, writing reports, and building M&E capacity of RE.
