Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is an international organization working for global justice, currently operating in 24 countries. In Ethiopia, NCA is legally registered with Civil Society Organizations Agency as a Foreign Charity. NCA has maintained a presence in Ethiopia since 1974, undertaking both emergency and development activities in five thematic programs; namely, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Reproductive Health, Climate Resilience, Humanitarian Response and Peace Building. Currently NCA is working in Oromia, Amhara, Tigray, Somali, the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR) and Gambela National Regional States and the Addis Ababa City Administration.
The Peace Building Programme of NCA, funded by Swedish Embassy (through ACT Church of Sweden) and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is implementing peace building programme entitled “Towards a National Agenda for Peace and Social Cohesion in Ethiopia: A Faith Actors Response” in partnership with local Faith Based Organizations (FBOS), Namely, Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church, Development and Inter Church Aid Commission (EOC-DICAC), Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus, Peace Office (EECMY-PO), Inter Religious Council of Ethiopia (IRCE) and Ethiopian Muslims Relief and Development Association (EMRDA). The programme will be implemented for the period of three years starting November 2019 to December 2022.
NCA is seeking to recruit a local consulting firm with special expertise on Social Media Monitoring and analytical report writing skills, knowledge on social media monitoring tools and familiar with faith-based organizations or civil society organizations, to Document Social Media and Broadcast Media Coverage and Public Response to the One Month National Inter-Faith Prayer Programme and Its Implication for Social Cohesion and Peace BuildingJob Requirements
