The Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) with CDC currently implementing an Assessment of Patients’ Outcome along the HIV Continuum in Selected High Client Load Facilities in Ethiopia. The project implementation areas found in Addis Ababa and Deredawa City Administrations; Amhara, Oromia and Tigray Regions. Hence, EPHA is currently seeking applications from potential candidates for the following vacancy. 

Duties and Responsibilities: Under the Research and Publication Director the data manager will execute the following activities:

• Managing the ODK (Both collect and aggregate interfaces)
• Data cleaning 
• Ensuring data assurance and quality (Checking for inconsistencies, completeness etc.) 
• Feedback to the field staff on daily bases
• Data management (coding, recoding, merging, appending 
• Data analysis including suggesting and applying the right models for advanced analysis
• Populate dummy tables
• Report writing in consultation with PI and CO-PIs and 
• Others related activities

Reporting to: Research and Publication Director

Terms of Employment: Three months

Salary: As per EPHA salary scale / Negotiable

Required Qualification:

• BSc in Statistics, Health informatics, Demography and related fields with MSc in Statistics, Demography and/or MPH

Experience:

• Previous experience as data manager and excellent working track record
• Previous experience managing electronic data collection
• At least two years of work experience in clinical data management and analysis
• Excellent in relevant statistical applications such as STATA, SAS, SPSS, CesPro, ODK, or other data collection / analysis software
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Maturity and professional ability to handle sensitive information and ability to respect confidentiality
• Having a health background is an added advantage
