Job Description
Internship Purpose:
Primary Objective of the internship: Provide technical inputs, assist oversee in developing, preparation, planning, design and execution of WASH projects.
Responsibilities:
Coordination and networking
- Establish good interaction with Concern staffs, government bodies and other stakeholders
Technical Support and Facilitation
- Support projects planning and assessment to Water and Sanitation works
- Support the response of queries from field offices
- Support in the preparation of BOQ and designs as requested
- Support in reviewing and editing reports and request documents
- Support other relevant daily task from WASH unit and the organization
- Support Nutrition/Livelihood team in integration areas or related to construction activities
Planning, Reporting and Accountability
- Collect reports and documents as well as share all data related to the progress in the project implementation.
- At all times, adhere to policies and guidelines of Concern.
- Committed to CWW’s vision, mission and core values
- Support that all hygiene/sanitation promotion activities documentation and recordings including desegregated data in reporting to the WASH Coordinator
- Perform other supports assigned by the line manager for the accomplishment of programme objectives

Job Requirements
Essential
- Minimum Qualification required:
- A recent B.Sc graduate of hydraulic/civil/construction engineer.
- Eager to learn and work with various departments in the organization, development and emergency programs in rural and remote environments in Ethiopia.
Desirable
- Preferred: Affiliation with WASH sector
Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to understand and respect the cultural, religious and political environment and to work well with staff and local authorities in a diplomatic manner;
- Demonstrated skills of proactivity, quick learner and self-learning.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer proficiency, particularly AutoCAD, Excel, Word and Power point
- Fluency in English & Amharic, other local languages will be an asset.
