Performance

  • Introduce and manage the continuous improvement of the laboratory function.
  • Manage the laboratory analytical performance through monitoring of daily calibration results and ring check performance (MAPS and HARAM) applying corrective actions when and where required.
  • Report accurate results to the production teams on a daily basis in a timely fashion.
  • Respond to and investigate out of specific parameters.
  • Be responsible for keeping abreast of new developments in analytical instrumentation and methodologies.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment by minimizing breakdowns via planned maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain laboratory documentation including methods, work instructions, risk assessments, to ensure compliance with company business management systems.
  • Work towards an external laboratory accreditation.
  • Responsible for ensuring the lab is fully provisioned.

People

  • Promote an atmosphere of continuous personal development.
  • Manage the lab resource appropriately to deliver business goals.
  • Develop and maintain individual training plans and records for each technician.

Cost

  • Manage the laboratory budget.
  • Responsible for laboratory ordering and invoicing.
  • Other duties as assigned by the company.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:  Bsc in Agriculture/Food Science/Life Science and related

Experience: - Minimum 2 years laboratory experience in a supervisory role.

- A Quality control experience within the grain, food or drink industry.

Language / IT  :  proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel - professional English required
