Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Position Summary:

The Cluster Coordinators will lead the implementation of HIV case-based surveillance under his/her supervision and is in charge of ensuring their implementation. They Will work in coordination with their regional team members in development of annual implementation plans, Organizes, coordinate and facilitate capacity building activities including TOT and rollout training, undertake continuous monitoring of implementing HIV Case-based surveillance including conduct supportive supervision and site readiness assessment,  data analysis and visualization of the program data and producing quarterly surveillance reports.

  

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:-

·  Develops annual implementation plans in collaboration with the regional team.

·   Support the preparation of training guides and other job aids and tools

·  Organizes, coordinate and facilitate capacity building activities including TOT and rollout training.  

·   Conduct continuous and Periodic monitoring in health facilities implementing HIV Case-based surveillance.

·  Collaborate with the regional team and conduct supportive supervision and site readiness assessment.

·  Establish and maintain successful work relationships with EPH, RHBs, and CDC.

·  Collaborate with the regional team and produce quarterly surveillance reports.

· Assist EPHI and regions in data analysis and visualization of the program data.

· Continually document and disseminate program successes, case studies and lessons learned.

·  Produce periodic reports and report on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

· Conducts follow up activities required for program monitoring.

· Supervise the regional team and give feedback regularly.

·  Undertakes other tasks assigned by his /her supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification and experience

·  Master’s Degree in public health or related Fields with a health background.

·  Must have more than 8 years’ experience in public health epidemic response and HIV program.

· Must be able to work with minimum supervision and have strong interpersonal skills and skills to promote teamwork.

·  The incumbent needs to have basic computer skills in statistical applications and preferable if the incumbent should have advanced Excel skills.

· Strong oral and written skills in English.

·  Previous experience working with the EPHI and RHBs is advantageous.

·  Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship.  

·   Must be willing to travel frequently to project activity regions.
