I. JOB SUMMARY.
The purpose of the Commodity and Agricultural Supplies Supervisor’s position is to supervise and monitor the commodities from the time of its arrival at warehouses until distributed to the intended beneficiaries He/She closely supervise and monitors commodities end use, warehouse management, reporting and the work of Storekeepers and Distributors.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Job Responsibility #1 Staff Management:
§ Builds the technical capacity of the Storekeepers and Distributers on warehouse management;
§ Completes all performance management activities including: performance planning, monitoring, and annual performance appraisals.
Job Responsibility #2: Technical and Logistics Support:
Job Responsibility #4: Follow up and action on Commodity Management Compliance
· In coordination with Compliance Officers, works directly with the Field office commodity management staff to ensure corrective action plans are in place to bring commodity management at FDP in compliance with JEOP Minimum Standards for Commodity Management and USAID/FFP regulations.
· Reviews Internal and external Food Monitoring Reports and work with all the concerned to close the findings.
· Maintains files of Follow up for not closed and for all closed findings.
Job Responsibility #5: Perform other duties as assigned.
III. PROBLEM SOLVING (Thinking Environment)
The Commodity and Supplies Supervisor faces identical or similar problems on a regular basis and what has to be done and how to do it are clearly defined. Therefore, level number one problem solving applies to this position.

IV. QUALIFICATIONS (KNOW HOW)
A) EDUCATION/TRAINING
Required: Diploma in supplies management or accounting from Vocational School.
Desired: BA degree in Supplies management or equivalent combination of education and work experience
B) EXPERIENCE
Required: 5 years of experience in warehouse Management, Supplies Management.
C) TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required:
§ Good Computer skills;
§ Able to work accurately; Trustworthy and reliable;
§ Knowledge of local language
§ Report writing skill;
§ Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality and sensitivity to HIV/AIDS.
Desired: Driving Ability
D) COMPETENCIES
Respect, accountability, courage, excellence, stress tolerance, developing teams, facilitating change, interpersonal skills, communicating with impact, customer focus, and collaboration.
VI. CONTACTS/KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The incumbent is expected to collaborate with Area Administrator, Purchaser, Workshop and transport Supervisor, Emergency Project and other concerned staff.
VII. WORKING CONDITION AND LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED
This position is located at CARE Field Office.
