Job Description

To implement the HR strategy and to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and procedures in compliance with the Group HR Strategy, local regulation and Business Objectives.

  • you will be responsible for the implementation of the HR strategy in the Boortmalt facilities in Ethiopia. Furthermore, you will oversee all aspects of Human Resource practices and procedures in compliance with local regulation, HR group strategy and business objectives.
  • Handle all topics related to the compensation and benefits (health cover, pension plan, bonus schemes, car policy,…)
  • Manage all HR processes from the on boarding of the employee into the company up to the termination.
  • Provide an advisory and support service to all Ethiopian Management in their daily people management tasks but also in the restructuring and development business projects.
  • Support and ensure a proper implementation of HR initiatives aligned with the group HR strategy.
  • Manage day to day employee relation issues and industrial relations
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process as well as on boarding process and introduction plan.
  • Handle all topics related to compensation and benefits
  • Manage all processes from the onboarding of an employee till the leave
  • Provide advisory and support to the Ethiopian management team in the execution of their daily people management tasks, development of the businesss projects
  • Support and ensure the proper implementation of HR processes aligned with the Group HR policies
  • Manage the day to day employee relation issues
  • Assess training needs to implement and monitor training plan.
  • Ensure legal compliance and legal watch
  • Oversee the payroll of all Boortmalt employees in Ethiopia and outsourced staffing in coordination with the other HR team members and the payroll providers.
  • Provide effective internal communication on HR related topics.
  • Develop and implement reporting systems (headcount, forecast, and budget).
  • Promote activities aimed at growing the culture and values of the business.
  • Analyze information and data, identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee satisfaction, performance and retention.
  • Ensure all HR initiatives are implemented in Ethiopia in accordance with the Group HR Strategy

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years work experience in an HR management position in a multinational company
  • Customer and service orientated This position requires an excellent communicator with exceptional verbal and written skills, who is timely, discreet, professional
  • Ability and facilitation skills to handle change processes at plant level, in line with Group Policies. Ability to translate Group policies into local needs and specific way of working
  • Open minded and good organizational skills and leadership capabilities
Language / IT  :   

  • Excellent English & Amharic speaking and writing skills, computer literate (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
